MIST Marks a Significant Milestone with the Launch of Its Inaugural VLSI IC Design Course
The Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE) at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) officially inaugurated its first-ever VLSI IC Design course on 14 December 2025. The program, organized by the MIST VLSI Training Centre, was formally launched through an opening ceremony held at the VLSI Laboratory.
This four-month, weekend-based certification program is being conducted in collaboration with Neural Semiconductor Limited. The inaugural cohort comprises 36 participants from 23 universities across Bangladesh, reflecting strong nationwide interest in advanced semiconductor education and research.
The initiative represents a significant step forward in strengthening local expertise in VLSI and integrated circuit design. The Department of EECE extends its sincere appreciation to the respected Commandant of MIST for his visionary leadership and guidance in establishing this pioneering initiative, which is expected to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country’s semiconductor ecosystem.
